Michael Burawoy est actuellement professeur à l’université de Californie (Berkeley), et président de l’International Sociological Association. Il est notamment l’auteur de Manufacturing Consent : Changes in the Labor Process Under Monopoly Capitalism (Chicago : University of Chicago Press, 1979), et de The Politics of Production : Factory Regimes Under Capitalism and Socialism (Londres : Verso, 1985).
